Yoga for Women`s Health

Yoga for Women’s health helps you to keep up with demands and expectations of modern life.

To be a woman has its particular challenges!

Modern life expects and demands a lot of a woman. Work, family, money, looks, weight, and so much more to balance. But this juggling act takes a toll on our mental and physical health and well being. We need something to redress the balance and this is what yoga offers. The path to prioritising our lives and finding our happy healthy place.

Instead of continuing old habits which do not serve your health and well-being, you could start to do something positive for yourself. You could start to rebuild your strength and self confidence, to respect and appreciate your body, to find your balance.

You could start practising yoga, the kind is specifically designed for the female body, woman`s specific needs and attitude.

Yoga for Women`s health helps to restore the lost balance.

yoga for women health

Regular practise of Yoga for Women’s health with my guidance as your private yoga instructor, will teach you to understand and accept the changes of your body.  Instead of suppressing your emotions you will learn to cope with and control them. Learning targeted yoga poses, you can relieve menstrual pain, ease the mental and emotional tension connected with your hormonal cycle. You will learn to love your body and accept its needs. For example, a woman’s monthly cycle is in fact a rejuvenation, a cleansing and detoxifying act of the body.

Some tribes appreciate the time when a woman has her moon cycle, as a sacred and spiritual time. This is the time for withdrawal and self-appreciation. She stays in the women’s tent and all the other women in the tribe take care of her. Sounds amazing… right? However, although we may not be able to follow this ritual, we can understand that this is the time to ease back, slow down and be gentle with ourselves.

Yoga for Women’s health applies the principles and tools of Hatha yoga, just as Yoga for the Spine, in a less rational but more gentle and intuitive way, which is more appropriate for women’s nature.

It focuses on the main female attributes, like the pelvis, pelvic floor, hip area, perineum and the female reproductive organs. It uses specific yoga asanas to place and twist the body into specific poses, where the inner organs are stretched, massaged and stimulated. The circulation is improved and toxins are flushed away.

Other asanas have strengthening effect on the muscles of the pelvic floor and abdomen. This muscles keep our abdominal and pelvic organs in place. Giving birth to a child, lifting heavy weights, running, doing careless exercise or just simply gravity itself can weaken our pelvic floor muscles, causing embarrassing moments and discomfort, and in some cases even serious illness. With certain yoga poses we can counter these symptoms and also keep our inner organs healthy.

Practising yoga in general is an ideal form of exercise for woman. Although, as women we have to listen carefully to our body and adapt our practice to our monthly cycle and apply the right asanas at the right time. Practising Yoga for Women`s health as private yoga session, offers us the opportunity to adapt our session following YOUR moon cycle. This way you can achieve a state of excellent health and well being, wherever you are in your life time. Practising yoga with alignment of your menstrual cycle will support your fertility, ease the symptoms of your period and help the transition in to menopause, will improve your reproductive health as a whole.

I exquisitely love to teach Yoga for Women`s health as a private yoga session, as it offers the opportunity to create a unique, supportive atmosphere and a special bond between my students and me. This is very important for me.

I cannot emphasise enough the importance of regular practice of yoga. Regularity is the key of any activity where your aim is to achieve something  beyond your knowledge and experience. Think about when you learn a new language, it might take years until you speak fluently and effortlessly… or when a dancer learns a new sequence of steps. It takes time, discipline, practice and repetition… It is the same with yoga…
